This course will introduce students to the foundational principles, requirements, and techniques for data curation (metadata and annotation, schemas and ontologies, quality, provenance, data and workflow, archiving and preservation, security, privacy, intellectual property, research responsibilities, and ethics). IGERT-funded students will be required to pass this course during their first year they're funded by the IGERT program.
