The goal of the program is to prepare students to be archivists and to give them proficiencies and knowledge to enter the profession in a variety of work environments. The Dual Degree History/Archives option allows students to select from a wide range of courses offered through the Simmons History Department. The Dual Degree program is designed to weave history and archives together and the emphasis is on historical research with students completing a thesis in their final semester.
